We have learned so many invaluable lessons from horses and find it extremely useful and applicable in interpersonal relationships. This specific tool creates increased connection and better understanding in ANY circumstance!
We see this often with our clients. Remember, you are not alone if this is something you struggle with! An example of this would be when a horse walks away from a client. We will ask them why they think it walked away and usually we will hear something like; the horse doesn't like them or likes someone else better (and a thousand other made up reasons). They are missing an opportunity to learn and connect! We teach our clients to ask others in a genuinely curious way and for the main purpose to better understand why, how, what, when or where? What would transpire if you asked someone to clarify, what they meant, how they came to that conclusion? Would it change the typical outcome that you have with your loved one? It is awe inspiring to see people practice this tool with their loved ones. They end up learning more about those they care about AND having more connection than they thought possible.
